Memorial Day 2006

I spent Memorial Day this year a little differently this year. Firstly, I was just home not travelling to another city. Secondly, I actually took part in an American tradition - watched a parade go by.

I've heard of it since living in Canoga Park but I've really never watched it till this year.... My friend and I took a spot at the corner of De Soto & Vanowen and watched the parade go by. I couldn't resist taking a photo of De Soto empty just as we were waiting for the parade go by.

It was weird seeing this usually busy street empty of cars.

As the parade went by, it was a trip to nostalgia. Old cars were the name of the game.....

Of course the Army was there....


And so were the Clowns.
